We will be traveling from Rapid City to Jackson, WY in mid July and are wondering what the quickest route would be. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the forum
You could try
www.mapquest.com or
www.map.google.com for that.

Each of those gave me different routes, so i am wondering if anyone here has experience making this trip that can give me advise on the best way to go.
Thanks,
Paul
The last time I went we drove
I90 to Buffalo
Hwy 16 to Worland
Hwy 20/26 to Riverton through Dubois to Jackson
Either the Hwy 14 through Sheridan or Hwy 16 through Buffalo are probably more scenic %26amp; Sheridan definitely more mountain driving across the Big Horns after you leave I90. But both also include the winding road from Cody through Yellowstone.
It is a long drive with mountains to go through no matter which way you go.
try this site: www.costtodrive.com
This gives you the cost to get to where you are going, shows gas stations along the way and current gas prices for each station, and as a bonus, at the bottom of the page you will see a map for the route.
This site might give you an optional route.
Yes, they are giving different routes but for the fastest way I%26#39;d take the route Lohrs gave you. Driving through Yellowstone can be very timeconsuming and Google Maps doesn%26#39;t take that into count. I presume you will be visiting Yellowstone!!!
The drive from Dubois (DUH-boys) to Moran and to Jackson is very scenic. On a second though, all roads are scenic in this part of the world...
