Black Hills Weather in July - humid or not?

What is the weather like in the Black Hills in early to mid July? I%26#39;ve heard it%26#39;s hot but is it hot and dry like Arizona (no problem) or hot, thick, sticky, and muggy like most of the eastern US (bummer)?

The locals can certainly correct me if I am wrong, but I think the area probably falls somewhere in between the muggy northeast and dry Arizona climate. Rapid City and the Badlands (especially) will be warmer than the typical touring towns of Keystone, Hill City and Custer. It can be very warm by day, but it does cool down at night, especially in the heart of the hills.

Normally the summer climate is hot %26amp; semi-arid, but we%26#39;ve had an unusually wet spring, so I expect some humidity the new couple weeks.
