Just a short question, How crowded is the Black hills area a week before Sturgis, I know there will be a lot of cars but what about motorcycles.

Some of the motorcyclists are in the Hills a day or two before the actual event starts, but they come and go the entire week. If you were to leave the area the Friday before the Rally, you should be fine. You may encounter groups of them traveling along the interstate, but no heavy traffic.

The big concert venues, Buffalo Chip, Glencoe, Full Throttle have their first events/concerts scheduled Fri July 31. Sturgis %26amp; the northern Hills will be packed at that point with motorcycles.

Some years the heavier biker traffic has started with with the Deadwood Days of %26#39;76, Jul 21-25 this year.

Sometimes it seems the bikers pour in all at once on the Friday before the official start date.

Have they chosen the bands that will play for Deadwood%26#39;s Kool Summer Nights?

I%26#39;m guessing that won%26#39;t interfere with a Sept. vacation since it%26#39;s generally the end of Aug.
