ATV - Lodging

We are planning a trip to South Dakota in June. We would like to bring our ATV%26#39;s and do some exploring since there seems to be miles of trails. We are looking at staying in Keystone, Custer or Hill City. My question is are there any lodging that are close to the ATV trails? We are low key ATV people, just like to ride the trails. Any help would be appreciated.

Of the towns you mention, you%26#39;ll probably find the most trails closest to Hill City and the least near Keystone. You might search for cabin where you can ride right from the cabin. It will save a lot of loading/unloading and messing around. Try this link: hillcitysd.com/hillcitylodging-cabins.html

The northern Black Hills are pretty common for ATV riders. A lot of people stay at the Spearfish Canyon Lodge.

By the way, pick up a travel management map from a Black Hills National Forest office--the off road travel maps are free. Trails and closed areas are marked. This link has the maps for planning purposes: http://www.fs.fed.us/r2/blackhills/maps/

you should really check out www.nemoguestranch.com you can ride right into the hills, seriously....we are frequent guests there and beside having great scenery to look at there is also bar and restaurant on the ranch. very good food.

a lot of the lodging available is on the highway, the nemo guest ranch is not on a busy highway. there is NO gas available in NEMO so be sure to bring plenty. you can also go to the moonshine gulch saloon if you are staying near nemo. it%26#39;s a great place with a lot of history.
