We will be spending 2 nights in the Badlands then moving onto Custer. On the way to Custer I plan to stop in Rapid City at Storybook Island. My AAA Trip Tik takes me through BNP on 44 into Rapid City then down US-16 to Custer. I know alot of the roads have tunnels and are narrow, winding roads. I have driven in the mountains of Colorado pulling our RV before and had no problems with it. However, I want to make sure this is the best route into Custer with my RV. Should I take I-90 instead of 44? I know you all can help! Thanks!

No tunnels on either of those highways.
You won%26#39;t have any trouble with highway 44 from the Badlands, though there has been construction making 44 a 4 lane from the airport into Rapid City, it appeared near completion the last time I traveled that way, a couple weeks ago.
Much of hwy 16 from Rapid City to Custer is 4 lane.

Great, thanks for your assistance. That sounds like a great route then and I%26#39;ll take it.
